Vision
in Business for the Environment (VIBES)
 Cheviot Trees are pleased to be awarded
the VIBES regional winners of 2005 in the South Medium category for
demonstrating our efforts to reduce the impact on the
environment.
The Concept
The VIBES Awards aim to raise awareness
of environmental and sustainable development issues within organisations
in Scotland.
The competition emphasised that
more effective environmental management is not only good for business,
the economy and competitiveness but also benefits the surroundings in
which we work, live and relax. It rewards not only those who have
addressed sustainable development issues in the work place, but also
hopes to encourage others to follow their example.
VIBES is a partnership between: Business
& Environment Network, CBI Scotland, Forward Scotland, Highlands
& Islands Enterprise, National Society for Clean Air &
Environmental Protection, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Environment
Protection Agency (SEPA), Scottish Executive and Scottish Water.
