Seed Source Key

Source Identified= Source Identified. Local provenance seed collected from sites across the UK.

Selected= Selected.  Seed collected from registered/selected (higher quality) trees from the UK or Europe.

Qualified= Qualified.  Seed in this category has been collected from an untested selection of individual trees.  These trees have been chosen or bred to show measureable improvements in certain characteristics. ie. vigour/health/form etc.

Tested= Tested.  Seed in this category has been collected from a selection of superior individual trees or stands that have been shown to be genetically superior for growth/form.  Useful for high yielding productive planting.
