General Nursery Worker

We have a vacancy for a full time General Nursery Worker, to assist with sowing, production, grading and despatch operations at our busy Foulden Nursery. The work will be both indoor and outdoor throughout the season.

Start date immediate.

Remuneration package will be subject to knowledge/skill/experience.

Essential skills:

* Valid driving licence.
*
Physically robust and fit due to nature of job involving regular manual handling.
* Strong spoken English with adequate literacy and numeracy.
* Ability to work well within a team.

Desirable skills:

* Forklift (counter-balance and boom-lift) certificates.
*
Trailer handling.

The applicant must have a proven track record of good teamwork, with excellent communication skills and be able to multitask.

Typical working hours 0800 to 1630, with seasonal overtime and weekend work as required.

Growing Team Assistant

We have a vacancy and opportunity for a person to assist our experienced Growing Team at our busy Foulden Nursery. The right candidate must demonstrate an interest in plants and crop growing. The position will assist with plant management, watering and spraying operations as required throughout the year, along with various general nursery work as required out-with the growing season. The work will be both indoor and outdoor throughout the year.

Essential skills:

* Experience of plants and growing crops.
* Knowledge/experience of spraying.
* Physically robust and fit.
* Strong spoken English with adequate literacy and numeracy.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work well within a team.
* Valid driving licence.

Desirable skills:

* PA1 & PA6 certificates.
