Height & Shape Hornbeam is an attractive tree
reaching to approx 30mtrs in height, young trees often being conical in
shape. This tree is often coppiced, pollarded or used in hedging.
Leaves & Flowers
Leaves are produced alternately along the branches and flowers during
April-May.
Distribution Native to most of Europe. Very common in hedges and woodland.
