Height & Shape Grey Alder is a small tree/shrub, usually only reaching about 10mtrs. Very similar tree to Common Alder.
Leaves & Flowers Oval to pointed shaped leaves, hairy underneath with 7 - 12 pairs of veins.
Distribution Native to northern Europe, often planted on land reclamation sites.
