Height & Shape
Green Alder is a small tree/shrub, usually only reaching about
5mtrs. Very similar tree to Common Alder.
Leaves & Flowers
Almost round shaped leaves with pointed tip, hairy underneath with 7 - 12 pairs of
veins. Flowers at the same time as the leaves appear in April.
Distribution Mainly Europe especially in mountainous areas.
