Height & Shape
The Downy Birch is a small tree with spreading branches, the young twigs
are covered in downy white hairs. It grows up to 25mtrs in
height.
Leaves & Flowers
It has small oval shaped leaves with a serrated edge. Flowers April to
May.
Distribution Very tolerant of cold, native to northern and central Europe on mainly wet soils.
