Height & Shape Aspen is the most common of the Poplars and also one of the smallest
growing to approx 15mtrs. It is also quite conspicuous because of
its leaves which flutter in the slightest breeze to reveal the pale
undersides.
Leaves & Flowers Leaves are almost round with a serrated edge. Flowers appear
during February and March.
Distribution Found throughout Europe mainly on poor soils.
