Tubex Bio-hybrid Standard Tubex launched the Bio-hybrid tree shelter in the autumn of 2010. The first in a range of next generation shelters that offers a financially viable, sustainable & biodegradable alternative to traditional shelters. Whilst other manufacturers have launched degradable shelters of variable quality, the Tubex Bio-Hybrid shelter contains 30% starch which positively degrades over a predetermined time of 3-5 years. Tubex Standard The world's most popular treeshelter. Suitable for a wide range of planting stock and most site conditions. Prices are shown per Standard. Available in green. The 0.6m is pre-fitted with a releasable nylon tie and all other sizes are pre-fitted with 2 releaseable ties. The 0.6, 0.75 and 1.2m are supplied in multiples of 100 and are nested in 5 diameters from 73mm to 105mm. *0.6m model - a second tie can be fitted at an extra cost of 5p per shelter. Tubex EcoStart The economy solution for rapid establishment, especially suitable for slender plants and hedging. Prices are shown per EcoStart. Tubex Combitube Tubex Combitube is designed for more exposed sites where there is a greater contrast between growing conditions within the shelter and those without. The solid base of the Tubex Combitube provides all of the winning features of the Tubex Standard Plus, and above the solid section, 100mm deep bands of 4mm holes, starting at 45cm from the base of the tube, extend upwards to within 5cm of the top of the tube. Prices are shown per Combitube. Available in translucent green and pre-fitted with 2 releasable nylon ties. The 0.75 and 1.2m are supplied in multiples of 100 and are nested in 5 with diameters from 73mm to 105mm. Tubex Easywrap The Tubex Easywrap is the cost effective alternative to Spirals, NO PVC. Gives additional benefits from rabbit protection and herbicide spraying. Ideal for hedging. NB. Voleguard Tubex Voleguards protect young trees from damage caused by voles. They also protect the base of the tree from strimmer damage and make maintenance easier. Because the Voleguard wraps around it can be put around already established trees, and can also be easily removed. Ideal for use in overgrown vegetation. Available in dark brown.
