Mentha aquatica - Water Mint

Mentha aquatica - Water Mint is commonly found in the shallow margins of rivers, ditches & wet meadows. It is ideal for planting on embankments as it produces underground rhizomes that help to stabilise the soil. Water mint is pollinated by insects and if the foliage reaches the water’s edge it will continue to grow by floating on the surface.

Height & Shape
Height 20cm x Spread Indefinite.

Leaves & Flowers
The stems on water mint are square in cross section, usually green or purple in colour. Bears green leaves and tiny densely crowded, purple flowers.

Availability
